Assistant Operations Manager M/F

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you are their primary liaison in the field. You will intervene across our various sites to provide your expertise, support teams, and contribute to the improvement of our practices. Your mission: intervene, secure, improve, and transmit.

This position is primarily aimed at someone who loves technical work and being in the field: understanding how installations and equipment function, seeking concrete solutions, intervening when necessary, and developing a true mastery of operational practices.

Concretely, you will:

• intervene as reinforcement across our various sites, as part of planned missions or sometimes urgently when an operational situation requires it;
• occasionally take charge of an operation or a team to analyze the situation, make decisions, and guarantee business continuity;
• leverage your technical expertise to understand the problems encountered and contribute to their resolution, by participating directly in operations when necessary;
• analyze existing practices and technical solutions and act as a source of proposals to improve equipment, tools, and working methods;
• harmonize processes and support their deployment across the various sites;
• train teams and ensure the transfer of skills and technical know-how;
• contribute to the evolution of our operating tools

What makes this position unique: It is a role for someone who loves being where the action is, understanding a problem technically, and finding solutions. Travel is an integral part of the function: some trips are anticipated, others may be organized on short notice to respond to a critical situation. Therefore, overnight stays should be expected. You must enjoy this dimension of the job: intervening concretely when the situation demands it, sometimes in operational and physical activities, but also knowing how to step back, decide, and support teams. The profile we are looking for:

You have a Master's degree (Bac+5) in engineering or an industrial Master's and possess confirmed experience in industrial operations, ideally 5 to 10 years, in accordance with the level expected in the job description. Beyond your background, we are primarily looking for:

• autonomy and sufficient perspective to make decisions, including in urgent or complex situations;
• leadership and the ability to occasionally take charge of a team or an activity;

• professional English, necessary to evolve within the international environment of the SOL Group.

An interest in digital tools, automation, or artificial intelligence applied to operations will be a plus.

Driving license (Permis B) is essential.
