About the position
Can you work magic behind a bar and create great experiences?
Soho House Copenhagen opened in August 2022 and is a members’ club for the creative industries, with houses all over the world. We want our members to feel at home when they come to our house, and we offer both carefully selected local drinks and cocktails that follow the houses globally.
As a bartender, you will be expected to make both our local drinks and classics, and to have all the basic knowledge about the products we have. We provide a lot of training on the products and drinks, but we need you to be proactive and willing to learn. Our houses are only as good as the people who work in them, which is why we care a lot about allowing people to be the best version of themselves. From induction and onboarding to the continuous learning and development throughout your career with us, we are committed to helping you grow.
About the role
As a bartender you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages – both hot and cold. The role is varied, and we will of course make sure that you feel comfortable taking on the different tasks. Your main tasks will be:
To ensure that all beverages are prepared and served in accordance with bar and company service standards
To be responsible for ensuring that all bar mise en place is in place according to the standards
To contribute ideas and recipes to the drinks menus
To be responsible for ensuring that the cleanliness of the bar and beverage areas is kept in accordance with site, company and legal health and safety standards
To assist with developing bartenders and bar backs through onboarding, on-the-job training, holding training sessions and suggesting further development opportunities to the Bar Manager/General Manager
To assist the Bar Manager/Head Bartender with their duties
To ensure the bars are well stocked with products and equipment on a daily basis
Being a members’ club also means that we are open from morning to late evening every day, and our members should always get the same great experience no matter what time of the day they visit us. We have different events and happenings in the house, which will make your job vary, and you have to be able to work both mornings and evenings as the rota will vary.
Who are you?
You have experience behind the bar and a basic knowledge of classic drinks and the products. As a person you are proactive and accommodating. It is important for us that you contribute to creating a positive work environment and a great space for our members to spend time.
In general, we want you to be comfortable saying the following:
I have at least a few years’ experience making drinks and cocktails
I have the basic knowledge about the products and the tools in the bar
I am a team player and enjoy working with other people to create the best possible experience
I enjoy hospitality and expanding my horizon within my field
About Soho House Copenhagen
Soho House Copenhagen opened in August 2022 and is a members’ club for the creative industries – part of a global company with houses all over the world. Located on the Havnegade promenade, our first outpost to open in Scandinavia is set in a former customs house, complete with a waterfront terrace. Spread over two floors, the House features vintage interiors with works made by local designers, plus an art collection with pieces from artists born, based or trained in Denmark. On the first floor, the studio holds weekly wellness and fitness classes. The House menu includes House Regulars and specialities made with local produce, while Cecconi’s Northern Italian restaurant is open to both members and the public.
