Chief Accountant

We are looking for an experienced  Chief Accountant, preferably with experience in the Horeca field.  

Financial Reporting:  Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in compliance with GAAP or IFRS.

Tax Compliance & Strategy:  Oversee the accurate calculation, filing, and payment of all corporate taxes (VAT, income tax, payroll taxes). Act as the primary point of contact for external tax auditors.

Team Leadership:  Manage, mentor, and review the work of the accounting team (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accountants).

Internal Controls & Audits:  Design and enforce internal accounting policies to prevent errors and fraud. Coordinate annual external audits, providing all necessary documentation.

Treasury & Cash Flow:  Monitor daily cash positions, approve high-value payments, and assist in cash flow forecasting.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role

Proficiency in Armenian tax software

Experience in a multinational or large corporate finance environment preferred

Strong preference for candidates with 2+ years of experience specifically in the HoReCa, food production, or agricultural industries.

Knowledge of the RA Tax Code and Labor Code, social security contributions.

Standards ( IFRS ) and Armenian local accounting regulations.

Advanced understanding of local and international tax laws, including VAT, corporate income tax, and transfer pricing.
