Head of IT (m/f/d) What makes the job special:

You will take over a functioning, heterogeneous IT system. After intensive induction, you will be independently responsible for the conception, procurement, and operation of the entire company infrastructure. A particular focus is placed on data sovereignty, data security, and data protection.

In detail:

• Selection, procurement, and maintenance of hardware and software in cooperation with the specialist departments
• Responsibility for IT security, data protection, and compliance
• Coordination of various system houses at the respective locations
• Advising the management on technological issues
• Training of users
• Writing and further development of standard operating procedures
• Quality assurance measures in the IT area
• Presentation of the infrastructure in audits and inspections

What you bring:

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in IT, ideally with leadership experience
• Sound knowledge of network and server infrastructures
• Awareness of the strategic importance of data sovereignty and data security
• Experience in selecting economical and sustainable software solutions, including Open-Source options
• Experience in the support and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers as well as workstations, as well as with user support requests
• Strategic thinking skills and pragmatic implementation strength
• Strong communication skills at all levels – from technical teams to management
• Independent, structured working style
• Proficient use of the English language in speaking and writing
• Decisiveness and a strong sense of responsibility

SocraMetrics GmbH - SocraTec R&D GmbH

We are an innovative corporate group consisting of two closely cooperating companies specializing in clinical research in the Early Phase, IT, data analysis, and pharmacovigilance:

• SocraMetrics GmbH (Erfurt, Berlin, Dortmund) – spun off from SocraTec R&D in 2007, focusing on biometry, pharmacokinetics, data management, IT, and pharmacovigilance. We offer customized solutions, including eCRF and eDiary, according to international IT standards. We also operate our own Safety database.
• SocraTec R&D GmbH (Oberursel, Erfurt) – A full-service CRO with over 25 years of experience, specializing in early-phase studies (Phase I/II) for international clients. Our modern Clinical Pharmacology Units (CPUs) and our experienced team of investigators and Study Nurses conduct highly specialized and individual trials.
