Job Description Integrated within the New Works Department located in Guyancourt (78), you will hold the position of Geotechnical Engineer (m/f). Ensure the technical execution of missions: Intervene in all phases of studies, works, and structure monitoring, to guarantee risk prevention and compliance with current standards: study projects upstream, analyze design files for geotechnical infrastructure structures, perform site verification and all geotechnical engineering missions according to the 94 500 standard (G1 to G5). Verification of calculation notes and infrastructure structure plans: underground structures, retaining walls, all types of foundations, embankment/cut structures, dikes. Performing verification counter-calculations: modeling on specific 2D or 3D software (geotechnical calculation software as well as specialized software, for example in underground or maritime structures). Take charge of occasional technical diagnostic interventions of the G5 type. Drafting G1 to G5 geotechnical study reports and technical opinions. Respect contractual documents, standards, and procedures applicable to the mission: Apply the methodology of your department and respect established procedures. Be the guarantor of the contractual follow-up of missions and ensure deadlines are met. Ensure the proper flow of technical information for the needs of the mission. Draft minutes, reports, correspondence, or letters of reservation inherent to the mission while taking appropriate ethical precautions. Contribute to business development and client follow-up: Master the group's offering internally. Disseminate client needs within the department and the subsidiary, or even the group. Estimate a project from an hourly and financial perspective, and present the profitability of the project before its launch. Guarantee the proper execution of missions and ensure the associated Client relationship. Training:
You have an engineering degree in Civil Engineering (Master's level) with a specialization in geotechnics. Experience:
At least 3 years of experience desired in calculation or verification, in project management, design office, contractor, or specialized engineering firm. Mastery of geotechnical calculation (foundations, dike, curtain or walls, retaining wall, ...)
Knowledge of structural calculation (reinforced concrete, metal structures, ...)
Knowledge of modeling on specific software (to be specified if applicable),
Good writing skills.
Knowledge of certain software such as Plaxis, Talren, K-Rea would be a plus. Experience in road geotechnics would be a plus. You have analytical capacity and critical thinking. Soft skills: Sense of organization, Autonomy, Rigor and method, Taste for teamwork, Mastery of technical English.
