Department Description

Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking is a part of Global Banking & Investor Solutions (GBIS). The Structured Finance Middle Office team works on the middle office activities for the structured finance transactions within the Global Banking & Advisory business (GLBA). Structured Finance covers various sectors including energy, metals and mining, infrastructure, shipping, real estate, aircraft and export financing. The Middle Office team in Asia covers the full APAC scope including Australia/New Zealand, Hong Kong/China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India, and other South-East Asia locations. Responsibilities :

  1. Legal Documentation & Transaction Execution
  • Review and analyze legal documentation (Facility Agreements, Amendments, Waivers, Side Letters) to support transaction execution.
  • Identify operational obligations, agency responsibilities, conditions precedent (CPs), and post‑closing requirements.
  1. Deal Coordination & Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including Front Office, Compliance, Legal, Back Office, Finance, and Credit.
  • Ensure smooth coordination and timely closing of transactions.
  1. Agent & Participant Interface
  • Act as a key coordination point between internal teams and external counterparties, including Borrowers, Lenders, Agents, and external - counsel.
  1. Deal Closing, De‑closing & Lifecycle Support

-Support Back Office on deal closing and post‑closing activities, including:

  • Loan drawdowns and repayments
  • Loan assignments, transfers, and prepayments
  • Amendments and consents
  1. Agency & Portfolio Oversight

-Manage transactions across syndicated, bilateral, and agented facilities. -Support agent‑specific duties, including notices, coordination of consents, and compliance with agency timelines.

6..Transaction Management & Reporting

  • Contribute to transaction and portfolio reporting, including:
  • Ad‑hoc client requests
  • Internal management reporting
  • Status tracking for active deals and pipeline exposure
  • Support scarce resource prioritisation across the SMO portfolio.

7.Operational Risk & Process Discipline (SMO Focus)

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, control frameworks, and operational risk standards.
  • Identify process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within SMO.

-Manage a diversified business lines portfolio including:

  • Real Estate
  • Aircraft Financing
  • Shipping
  • Renewable Energy
  • Export Finance Profile Requirements:

1.Minimum 5+ years of experience in Loan operations, including agency management. 2.Fluent English required for legal document review and internal/external business communication. 3.Strong operational and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. 4.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and influence stakeholders when required. 5.Strong team player with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. 6.Proactive, open‑minded mindset with the ability to contribute ideas and drive improvements.
