Python Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

Design, development, testing, and deployment of backend services to support system control and experiment orchestration Creation of APIs and data interfaces for the integration of various system components Ensuring the scalability and maintainability of backend systems while adhering to high software engineering standards Optimization of data processing pipelines with regard to performance and reliability Implementation of logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure system stability Identification and remediation of potential security vulnerabilities in backend systems Participation in the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align software architecture with technical requirements Documentation of software designs as well as ensuring high code quality through code reviews and best practices

What you bring to the table:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field At least 3 years of professional experience in backend development Sound programming skills in Python; experience with frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask is an advantage Solid understanding of the design, implementation, and use of REST-APIs Experience in handling databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) as well as in data modeling Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Practical experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins) Good understanding of software architecture and design patterns for scalable systems Confident handling of version control systems (Git) Very good English skills, both written and spoken Structured, solution-oriented way of working as well as enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary and international teams
