Competition and Regulation Lawyer (M/F)

Job Description

Within the legal department collective of SNCF Voyageurs based in Saint-Denis, the junior competition and regulation lawyer assists and advises the company in the legal securing of its projects with regard to European and French competition law and sectoral regulation legislation, as well as the principles established by the case law of European or French courts or the doctrine of competition/regulation authorities.

Their main missions within the Competition and Regulation team are, with the support of the department's experienced lawyers, the following:

advise the various entities of the company and its subsidiaries in order to secure their projects (with regard to the risk of sanctions and reputation) and actively defend their interests against other actors in the various markets;

contribute to the management of litigation cases before regulation authorities, both as claimant and defendant;

participate in the implementation and updating of the SNCF Voyageurs compliance program (risk mapping, deployment of action plans, continuous dissemination of competition culture through all relevant means to the employees concerned, notably the provision of training sessions...);

ensure active monitoring in the field of competition/regulation law;

contribute to the work carried out within the competition working group led by the SNCF legal department.

Profile sought

The profile sought:

Lawyer with a Master 2 in competition/distribution law with a good knowledge of litigation before competition authorities and arbitration (a complementary diploma such as a DU juriste concurrence would be a plus), and justifying 1 to 3 years of experience in this legal field.

Given the close cooperation maintained between competition and regulation authorities, knowledge of sectoral regulation law is required.

Proficiency in fluent and legal English.
