Engineering Analyst

At Smurfit Westrock we are looking for an Engineering Analyst, with a technological academic background in electricity, electronics, electromechanics, instrumentation or related fields, to work in our plant in Yumbo, Valle del Cauca.

Responsibilities:

• Propose engineering solutions to problems presented by production or derived from projects, through the preparation of technical drawings and diagrams, to technically support proposals and facilitate their implementation.
• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings of parts, elements, and systems, using specialized design software, to document projects and support manufacturing and assembly according to the needs of each plant or capital project.
• Execute metrological measurements and verifications in the field and in workshops, through measuring instruments and technical visits, to ensure compliance with specifications and provide technical advice to internal and external providers.
• Encode, update, modify, and archive technical drawings, following international and company standards, to facilitate consultation, communication, and traceability between areas and providers.
• Support the preparation of risk matrices in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Aspects, through technical analysis during project planning, to guarantee compliance with action plans during execution.
• Perform field information gathering, using conventional means and technological tools, to complement the development of drawings and project engineering.
• Execute technical supervision in the field of activities related to maintenance and project assembly, through on-site monitoring and technical review, to ensure correct execution according to designs and specifications.
• Manage technical closures in SAP, managing service orders in the system, to ensure they do not remain open and to maintain the traceability of the activities performed.

Requirements:

• Experience in production plants in the proposal and execution of engineering solutions in maintenance and projects areas.
• Technological academic background in electricity, electronics, electromechanics, or instrumentation.
• Basic English A2.
• Knowledge of ISA and RETIE technical regulations.
• Advanced CAD management.
• Basic metrology.

• Indefinite term contract, direct with the company.

• Monday to Thursday ( 7:15 am - 4:00 pm) Friday ( 7:15 am - 3:00 pm)
