Customer Service Advisor

Location: Biggleswade Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.30pm Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Hourly rate: £12.95 per hour

SMT is delighted to be recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join a well-established and successful business based at their modern facility in Biggleswade.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous customer service experience who enjoys speaking with customers, solving problems and working as part of a busy and supportive team.

Our client is a leading UK business with an extensive national presence as well as operations internationally. Due to the continued growth of their online operation, they are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their Customer Service team.

The Role

As a Customer Service Advisor, you will play an important role in supporting customers and internal teams with online orders, enquiries and general customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Handling inbound and outbound calls with customers and internal branches
• Processing customer orders placed through the website
• Processing orders received from internal branches
• Communicating with customers via online chat and email
• Tracking customer orders and liaising with courier networks
• Supporting customers with website queries and assisting them with placing orders
• Resolving customer enquiries efficiently and professionally
• Providing excellent customer service throughout the customer journey
• Completing general office administration and customer service duties

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident, personable and genuinely enjoys helping customers.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience within an office based customer service environment
• Experience communicating with customers over the telephone and via email
• Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong work ethic and the ability to use your own initiative
• A positive, friendly and professional approach
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Full training will be provided on the company’s internal systems and processes.
