Commissioning Engineer Machinebouw (APM8305JS)

As a Commissioning Engineer Machinebouw, you are not afraid to get your hands dirty for the testing and commissioning of installations. You do this both internally and on-site at international customers. You love a challenge and ensure that everything is arranged to perfection. Collaborating with other departments within SMST suits you well and you always provide constructive feedback. You write clear procedures and reports. Your English language proficiency is of great importance in this regard. Following safety rules is second nature to you and you identify any potential points for improvement in the commissioning process.

• A completed Mbo/Hbo education in Werktuigbouwkunde, Elektrotechniek, Zeevaartschool, Mechatronica or similar
• At least two years of relevant work experience in a similar position is a plus

• Knowledge of electrical systems and meet- & regeltechniek is a must
• Functioning under offshore conditions is not a problem for you

• Experience with hydraulische systemen is a plus and experience with PLC systemen is a bonus
• You are analytically strong and enjoy solving complex problems

• Working both independently and in a team suits you well
• Working on-site at a customer, anywhere in the world, for a period of 2-4 weeks is not a problem for you (on average you are abroad 30% of the year)
