Budget Analyst

Major duties
The Budget Analyst is responsible for a range of functions within financial management, including, but not limited to, budget formulation, budget execution, administrative management, systems accounting, and serving as a technical advisor. In this position, you will: Conduct budget formulation by performing detailed analyses of annual funding requirements to estimate the internal operational needs of the program. Analyze and evaluate the budget by monitoring expenditures, preparing analytical reports, and recommending remedial actions as necessary. Develop cost data reports for assigned programs while working closely with the Budget Officer. Develop policies, procedures, and guidance for the execution of budget formulation and overall financial management.
Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as performing budget formulation, budget execution, administrative management, systems accounting, and providing technical advice in compliance with Federal regulations, guidance, and policy directives. Your resume must be no more than two (2) pages and should clearly demonstrate how your experience aligns with the responsibilities and specialized experience required for this position.
