As a Category Manager at SmartSD, you are responsible for the management and development of our product portfolio in the field of security. You will work closely with the commercial, marketing, and technical teams to optimize our product offering and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Act as the point of contact for the manufacturer/supplier and ensure optimal cooperation.
• Develop and manage the product strategy based on trends, market demand, and knowledge of the competition.
• Create products in the internal systems and manage the product range of the assigned suppliers. This includes, among other things, the gradual phasing out and replacement of products, quality monitoring, product improvements, and product follow-up.
• Provide product presentations and demonstrations.
• Perform technical and commercial analyses of the product portfolio to determine which products deserve extra attention and promotion, in collaboration with the Marketing and Purchasing departments.
• Collaborate on the purchasing and order processing process in consultation with the assigned suppliers.
• Provide internal preparations, including training for the sales and technical teams, drafting technical documentation, and planning inventory, including determining the minimum and maximum stock levels per product.
• Check product documentation to ensure it complies with relevant laws and regulations regarding safety, CE marking, environment, packaging, and customs regulations.
