Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer - Industrial Manufacturing

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the integral design of automated industrial machinery for mass spectrometry leak detection at our facilities in El Marqués, Querétaro.

We are seeking a technical expert capable of developing complex 3D models, performing mechanical/structural calculations, applying DFMEA, and collaborating directly on international projects with our offices in Europe and the USA.

Main Functions:

• Design mechanical components, clamping tooling, structures, chambers, and vacuum and pneumatic systems.
• Prepare complete technical packages for Manufacturing: 2D/3D drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and P&ID diagrams.
• Develop engineering calculations (stresses, tolerances, pump/vacuum selection, seal compression) and risk analysis (DFMEA/HAZOP).
• Redesign and tropicalize foreign-origin machinery to adapt components to the local market.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with the Manufacturing, Automation, and Purchasing areas.

Requirements:

• Education: Mechanical Engineering (Degree indispensable).
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in mechanical design of industrial machinery.
• Software: Advanced mastery of Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and management in Vault Professional / ERP.
• Technical knowledge: Vacuum, pneumatics, sealing surfaces (O-rings), safety standards (EN ISO 12100, EN ISO 13849, PED).
• Language: Advanced English (B2/C1 indispensable for global technical meetings).
• Mobility: Availability for occasional travel (10-15%, passport and American visa desirable).

We Offer:

• Monthly net salary: $30,000.00 to $45,000.00 MXN. (according to competencies and experience)
