Sourcing Specialist
Your tasks
In this role, you will identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new suppliers, conduct on-site visits, and ensure our products meet quality and sustainability standards. You’ll collaborate closely with vendors and internal teams to maintain a seamless supply chain. If you have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy supplier scouting, this role is for you!
- Request, review, compare, and negotiate supplier quotations and commercial terms.
- Conduct price benchmarking and cost analysis to identify competitive purchasing prices and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare costing calculations, pricing comparisons, and commercial recommendations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and sourcing agents on product specifications, quotations, and deadlines.
- Support product development by assessing product costs and commercial feasibility.
- Maintain accurate and complete product information and records in company systems, including Exact Online where applicable.
- Collect, verify, and monitor supplier certifications and compliance documentation.
- Ensure data accuracy, follow established workflows, and report outstanding issues or potential risks to the manager.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient sourcing and purchasing processes.
Requirements
- Experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement, or supplier management.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and willingness to learn business systems.
- Good organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively.
