Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business transactions.

Record and reconcile income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Reconcile bank accounts, payment platforms, POS transactions, and other business collections.

Ensure financial transactions are properly documented and supported.

Maintain organized and accessible accounting records.

E-commerce & Revenue Reconciliation:

Reconcile sales across e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, POS, bank accounts, and delivery/logistics channels.

Track customer payments, refunds, returns, commissions, and delivery-related collections.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies in sales and payment records.

Work with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Payroll & Tax Compliance:

Prepare monthly payroll and maintain accurate payroll records.

Process salaries, allowances, commissions, deductions, and other employee-related payments.

Support the preparation and timely filing of applicable taxes and statutory obligations, including PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax, and Company Income Tax.

Maintain appropriate tax documentation and liaise with external tax advisers or auditors when required.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare regular management accounts and financial reports.

Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.

Provide accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, and expense reports.

Compare actual performance against budgets and highlight significant variances.

Provide clear financial information to management to support business decisions.

Financial Controls & Cost Management:

Monitor business expenses and identify unusual, unnecessary, or unsupported expenditure.

Ensure proper approval and documentation of expenses.

Monitor cash flow and highlight potential financial risks.

Support the development and implementation of practical financial controls.

Identify opportunities to reduce waste, control costs, and improve profitability.

Inventory & Operational Accounting:

Maintain accurate inventory-related financial records.

Reconcile inventory movements with sales and accounting records.

Work with the operations team to investigate significant stock or financial discrepancies.

Support periodic stock counts and reconciliation where required.

Audit & Compliance:

Assist with internal and external audits.

Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and properly maintained. Investigate material discrepancies and escalate significant issues to management.

Maintain confidentiality and safeguard the company's financial information.

Requirements:

Minimum qualification of BSc. 3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
