Supplier Quality Engineer

SL MEX SLP is looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to join our Quality team.

Job Objective: Responsible for ensuring the quality of supplied components, as well as developing and supporting suppliers, performing audits, and coordinating improvement activities and quality problem-solving.

Main responsibilities:

• Perform audits and evaluations of suppliers.
• Follow up on supplier development and performance.
• Coordinate quality activities with suppliers.
• Participate in meetings with suppliers.
• Provide support during new product launches.
• Coordinate activities related to new projects and engineering changes (EWO).
• Follow up on quality problems and perform Root Cause Analysis.
• Maintain and follow up on PPAP submissions.
• Supervise and coordinate Receiving Inspection team activities.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions with suppliers.

Requirements:

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Advanced English (indispensable).
• Experience in supplier development and management.
• Knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving.
• Experience in supplier audits.
• Knowledge of PPAP and quality requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to analyze data and work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Availability to travel.

• SMT (Surface Mount Technology)
• Electronics
• Plastic Injection
• Die Casting

Education:

Engineering or technical degree related to Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar.
