Maintenance Supervisor - with experience
About the company
We are looking for a maintenance supervisor to join the SL MEX SLP team. We are a company in the automotive sector, focused on lighting for HYUNDAI, KIA, GM, and BMW suppliers.
Your tasks
Within your tasks, you will be responsible for several functions, such as:
- Supervising the maintenance of all equipment, including cooling towers.
- Coordinating and supporting the maintenance team in daily activities, promoting a collaborative and safe work environment.
- Guaranteeing the timely execution of installation, repair, and preventive and corrective maintenance projects.
- Possessing solid knowledge in industrial electricity, plumbing, PLC operation, and general maintenance.
- Planning, supervising, and following up on facility improvement and expansion projects.
- Coordinating and supervising contractors, verifying that the work complies with established standards and timelines.
- Evaluating technical and financial alternatives for new installations or services.
- Comparing costs of required goods or services, seeking the best cost-benefit ratio.
- Planning the future development of the facilities in alignment with the strategic objectives of the business.
- Leading and managing operational changes while minimizing interruptions to core activities.
- Ensuring that the work of personnel and contractors is carried out in accordance with safety specifications and policies.
- Responding effectively to emergencies or critical incidents.
- Presenting progress, budget, and project result reports to the area manager.
- Complying with and enforcing industrial safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Performing other functions assigned by management.
Requirements
Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in general maintenance of industrial facilities.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in maintenance supervision roles.
- Verifiable knowledge in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems.
Education •Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Attention to detail, organization, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to understand and comply with general policies and procedures of the maintenance and administration area.
- General knowledge of maintenance and engineering principles and methods.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to interact effectively with other departments, customers, and suppliers.
- Positive attitude.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced production environment.
- Advanced English
- Preferably experience in the automotive and lighting sector companies
