SL MEX SLP is looking for a Sr. Engineer to join our Engineering team.

We are looking for a professional with solid experience in automotive manufacturing, assembly processes, equipment troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, with the ability to provide technical support to production lines and participate in the development of new projects.

Requirements: Industrial, Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position within a Tier 1 automotive supplier. Advanced English. Experience in troubleshooting with PLC and robotics. Experience with sensors: laser, fiber optic, proximity, and vision. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement. Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, DRBFM/SFMEA, and GD&T. Experience in problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis. Proficiency in CAD/CAE design and engineering tools. Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to production assembly equipment and lines.
  • Perform and support the solution of mechanical and electromechanical failures.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and actions to prevent recurrences.
  • Provide support in quality problems and process improvement.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new programs.
  • Participate in design reviews (Design Review – DR).
  • Review requirements for machinery and assembly equipment for new projects.
  • Perform capacity analysis of assembly lines according to customer requirements.
  • Implement actions to increase process productivity and efficiency.
  • Follow up on technical documentation, engineering changes, validations, and standardization.
  • Work together with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Development, and other related areas.
