Role Description The Fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a contract, on-site role based in Lagos, Nigeria, responsible for guiding technology strategy and execution in alignment with Sky99 Global’s project.

Day-to-day activities include assessing current technology capabilities, defining scalable architectures, and selecting appropriate tools and platforms to support compliance, operational efficiency, and growth. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical roadmaps, overseeing implementation of software solutions, and establishing standards for data security and system reliability. The Fractional CTO will mentor technical staff, manage relationships with technology vendors, and continually evaluate emerging technologies to improve the company’s service delivery and client experience.

Qualifications

Strong experience in technology leadership, such as CTO, Head of Engineering, or similar senior roles, with responsibility for strategic planning and implementation. Proven ability to design and manage scalable, secure technical architectures that support business operations, compliance, and growth. Demonstrated expertise in software development lifecycle management, including requirements definition, solution design, implementation, and quality assurance. Knowledge of healthcare or regulated industries, with familiarity in compliance frameworks, data protection, and risk management considered an advantage. Track record of collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts clearly, and influencing decision-making at executive level. Experience overseeing vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management for technology products and services. Ability to work on-site in Nigeria, manage time effectively in a fractional/contract capacity, and adapt quickly within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
