ACCOUNTING MANAGER

>> ABOUT SKY LEADER FREIGHT Sky Leader Freight (SLF) is an IATA-accredited multimodal freight forwarder headquartered in Singapore, with an operational office in Jakarta. We handle air, sea, and land freight across pharma/perishables and intra-ASEAN lanes, and hold WCA World and JCTrans memberships. We're a lean, fast-moving team positioning SLF as a tech-enabled supply chain intelligence partner — not a traditional forwarder. We move quickly, wear multiple hats, and expect the same adaptability from everyone we hire.
>> THE ROLE We're looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the finance function. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has worked in an accounting or audit firm environment, understands Indonesian tax compliance deeply, and can operate comfortably within a small, fast-paced logistics company where financial cycles move in step with shipments — not fixed monthly batches.
>> KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the full accounting function for SLF: bookkeeping, AR/AP, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Manage Indonesian tax compliance and reporting, including Brevet A & B-level tax matters
- Coordinate closely with SLF Singapore on group reporting, cross-border invoicing, and multi-currency transactions.
- Track and manage cash flow tied to the freight billing cycle — agent settlements, co-load payables, and customer credit terms
- Support statutory audits and liaise with external auditors/tax consultants
- Ensure financial processes keep pace with an operationally fast-moving business — quick turnarounds, not rigid bureaucratic cycles
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to support management decision-making
>> REQUIREMENTS
- 5–6 years of experience in accounting or an audit firm environment
- Brevet A & B tax certification required
- CA Indonesia qualification strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Singapore accounting standards/practices preferred (given close coordination with SLF Singapore)
- Prior exposure to freight forwarding, logistics, or a similarly fast-moving operational business is a strong advantage
- Comfortable working in a small team with direct ownership — this is not a role with a large back-office to lean on
- Strong Excel/accounting software skills; adaptable to new systems and tools
- Good spoken and written English for coordination with the Singapore office
