Senior Business Analyst

My client is a growing technology and business solutions organisation focused on delivering innovative digital products, operational excellence, and transformative outcomes. The teams work collaboratively across business and technology to solve complex challenges, improve customer experiences, and create measurable value.

You are to lead the discovery, analysis, validation, and delivery of complex digital and business transformation initiatives. This role is approximately 70% execution and 30% strategic, combining hands-on delivery with the opportunity to influence product direction, business processes, and long-term decision-making.

You will work closely with stakeholders, product managers, designers, engineers, and operations teams to solve complex business problems, identify opportunities, and deliver solutions that create measurable value.

We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical, comfortable with ambiguity, and confident challenging assumptions to uncover the root cause of problems before defining solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Solution Analysis

• Lead discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and analysis activities to understand business needs and challenges.
• Translate complex or ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business requirements.
• Facilitate alignment across stakeholders and manage competing priorities to achieve the best business outcome.
• Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, testable, and aligned with business objectives.

Business Process Improvement

• Analyse current processes, identify pain points, and recommend improvements that deliver measurable business value.
• Design future-state processes, service journeys, and operating models.
• Use process maps and visual artefacts to communicate opportunities, dependencies, and recommendations.

Data-Driven Decision Making

• Analyse data, user feedback, and operational insights to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Develop recommendations that support both immediate business needs and long-term strategic goals.
• Define and measure success metrics to validate business outcomes.

Delivery, Validation & Quality

• Support solution design, testing, UAT, implementation, and go-live activities.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to validate solutions and manage delivery risks.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business, user, operational, and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Leadership & Collaboration

• Build strong relationships across business and technology teams.
• Facilitate workshops, drive consensus, and communicate recommendations effectively.
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and contribute to capability development across the team.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Analysis, Digital Transformation, Product Delivery, or a related field.
• Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business and system requirements.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and solve complex business problems.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and cross-functional teams.
• Strong process modelling, stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting testing, solution validation, and implementation activities.

Technical Skills

Experience with some of the following:

• Jira & Confluence
• SQL
• Excel
• Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro
• Process mapping and journey mapping tools
• Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms
