Global Product Manager till Fergas
In the role, working in close collaboration with our salespeople globally, you will ensure that customer needs are translated into the right technical and commercially sustainable solutions, and you will act as the customer's voice internally to ensure that customer requirements are translated into relevant product development projects. You will work through the entire product lifecycle and contribute to the development of the product portfolio, product strategy, and technical roadmap. You have a clear responsibility for developing the product portfolio's profitability and competitiveness. By identifying improvement and growth opportunities, optimizing the product portfolio, and driving commercial initiatives, you contribute to a long-term sustainable and growing business. The role is both strategic and operational, where you are expected to identify improvement and business opportunities and drive them from idea to implementation.
Part of the role is to lead complex projects. You have a coordinating role between the various stakeholders of the projects and ensure that the project's goals, requirements, schedule, and delivery are kept together. You will also work with the product's commercial development, for example costs, profitability, and value optimization, as well as follow the market, customer needs, technological development, and relevant regulations.
Tasks in brief:
be the customer's and the project's natural point of contact in technical matters and ensure that the customer's needs and requirements become clear to the organization
lead complex projects and coordinate activities between, for example, engineering, production, sales, purchasing, suppliers, and customers
drive the product work through the entire product lifecycle – from market and customer needs to requirements specification, development, improvements, and launch
contribute to and drive the work with product strategy, product portfolio, and technical roadmap
identify opportunities for product improvement, innovation, and new technical solutions
work with the product's commercial development, for example costs, profitability, business cases, and value optimization
follow up on the market, competitors, customer needs, and relevant regulations and translate this into concrete product initiatives
participate in and ensure that products meet relevant standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and production units in several international markets. You report to and work closely with the Global Technical Engineering Director for Fergas Group.

We believe that you have a technical or commercial university education, for example in engineering, product development, product management, or economics with a technical focus.
You have experience from a technical or manufacturing business and have worked with, for example, Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a similar role. The important thing is not exactly which title you have had, but that you are used to taking responsibility, driving things forward, and getting different functions to cooperate.
You have a strong interest in technology and preferably experience in, for example, ventilation, airflow, fans, motors, or other related technology. Experience from an international manufacturing organization with several production units is meritorious.
To succeed in the role, you also need to have:
good commercial understanding
strong analytical ability and a structured way to solve problems
experience in driving cross-functional projects
understanding of product lifecycle, product portfolio, and strategic product work
good understanding of standards, regulatory requirements, and product certification
a strong customer focus and the ability to understand the customer's real needs
very good communication skills and ease in creating trust among different stakeholders
the ability to work independently, prioritize, and drive several issues in parallel
a result-oriented approach.
You speak and write English fluently; if you speak Swedish, it is highly meritorious. Since the role involves contact with customers, suppliers, and production units, travel occurs. A B-driver's license is meritorious.
About the company: Fergas Group is a manufacturing group with headquarters in Linköping. We have production units in Sweden, China, USA, and Italy, as well as sales offices in the USA and India. The group has a turnover of approximately 25 MEUR and has about 150 employees globally. The company develops, produces, and sells fans and fan systems for a wide range of different applications such as ventilation and heating, appliances, the automotive industry, and this under the motto "Your Global Partner in Air Moving Solutions".
