HelpDesk Engineer - Platform
SKELAR is a venture builder that builds international product IT companies following the rules of the venture capital world. Together with our co-founders, we assemble strong teams to launch tech businesses and win in global markets.
Today, SKELAR has a dozen businesses in various niches — from EdTech to marketplaces. These are companies that appear in the rankings of TOP startups and product companies in Ukraine, hold the highest positions in the AppStore, and develop platforms used by millions of people. Furthermore, SKELAR's businesses are written about by TechCrunch, Wired, and other global media.
Currently, we are looking for an active and responsible Junior HelpDesk Engineer.
You will be responsible for the entire cycle: from unboxing a new MacBook to configuring the corporate network and organizing the technical part of online events.
We are building an AI-Native team, so you will have access to modern AI tools and the opportunity to integrate them into daily support processes. We offer work with a modern stack (macOS, Okta, Google Workspace) and processes following Enterprise standards.
What is important to us:
- Work experience in IT support (Internal Support) from 6 months or completed relevant IT education;
- Confident understanding and experience in administering macOS (priority), as well as Windows / Linux;
- Practical understanding of network technologies (basic switch configuration, L1/L2, understanding how Wi-Fi works);
- Experience in assembling, disassembling, and diagnosing hardware (Hardware);
- High level of empathy, service orientation, and communication skills;
- Understanding of Service Desk principles and ticketing systems.
- English (A1/A2+): Survival level — sufficient for reading technical documentation or software interfaces, possibly for basic correspondence.
It will be an advantage:
- Experience in daily use of AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) for troubleshooting or writing scripts;
- Experience working with Google Workspace, Okta, Slack;
- Experience configuring equipment for online broadcasts (OBS Studio, microphones, cameras);
What will be in your area of responsibility:
- Preparation and setup of workstations for new employees in the Kyiv office;
- Managing the full cycle of inventory (Asset Management) — from procurement to decommissioning;
- Processing user requests in the ticketing system in compliance with SLA;
- Basic maintenance of the office network infrastructure (patching, switching);
- Organization and technical support of online broadcasts for internal communications;
- Monitoring compliance with information security policies (ISMS);
- Optimization of routine Helpdesk processes using AI tools.
Tech Stack (Tooling):
- Ticketing Systems: Understanding the request lifecycle (Open -> In Progress -> Resolved). Experience with Jira Service Desk, Zendesk, or analogues will be a big plus.
- Asset Management: Ability to maintain equipment records (inventory) — attention to detail, working with tables (Excel/Google Sheets) or specialized inventory software.
- Communication: Experience in administering corporate messengers, specifically Slack.
- Streaming: Knowledge of broadcasting equipment (cameras, microphones, mixers) and software (e.g., OBS Studio).
At SKELAR, we have built an environment for professional self-realization:
- SKELAR Platform. This is the operational core of the venture builder that helps founders move faster from zero to one. This allows business teams to focus on the product — while 10+ teams within the Platform cover Legal, Finance, HR, Admin, Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, IT, and other functions.
- Networking and knowledge sharing as part of the culture. Among our colleagues are co-founders who have launched more than one business, as well as the strongest specialists in the market. Thus, we have access to the necessary expertise at arm's length.
- Exclusive domain education. We have created our own training programs for teammates of their choice — from a 2-month school for beginner managers to intensives on AI and professional clubs for development, product management, etc.
- Impact on systemic aid to Ukraine. We have the SKELAR foundation, a charitable fund created by SKELAR employees themselves — and thanks to every employee, we implement important social projects. For example, we founded the first accelerator for veterans in Europe and are forming a platform to support veterans at the state level.
- An ecosystem for productive work. Spaces have been created for SKELAR employees that inspire results — with their own gym, climbing wall, Bali-style green zones, and libraries. In spaces where service, security, and comfort are synchronized with the growth pace of teams, we receive a wow-experience and work more effectively.
- Care for daily comfort. Breakfasts, lunches, access to sports training in Kyiv or partial compensation for classes in Warsaw, medical insurance, paid business trips if the role specifics require such trips, and corporate discounts from partners.
We will tell you more during our introductory meeting.
We invite you to build the next big everything at SKELAR together!
