Job Description:

As part of the skill reinforcement for our client, we are recruiting an Industrial Project Manager. He or she bears global responsibility for the execution of the business: managing the entire project life cycle, from the receipt of the customer order to final delivery, while ensuring compliance with cost, deadline, quality, and safety (CQDS) commitments on high-criticality equipment.

Your main missions are as follows:

Scoping and project launch

  • Take charge of the customer order upon notification and analyze the contractual and technical specifications.
  • Define the scope, contractual milestones, budget, and the project master schedule.
  • Identify major risks (technical, contractual, procurement, deadlines) and build the associated mitigation plan.
  • Form and mobilize the multidisciplinary project team (design, methods, purchasing, production, quality, logistics).

Production management and transverse coordination

  • Manage the progress of manufacturing (design, procurement, machining, welding, assembly, testing) until final delivery.
  • Coordinate interfaces between internal departments (design office, methods, production, quality, supply chain) and subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor key project indicators (costs, deadlines, quality, safety) and lead project reviews and steering committees.
  • Anticipate and arbitrate production contingencies, and propose recovery plans in case of deviation.

Customer relations and contractual management

  • Be the primary point of contact for the customer throughout the execution of the contract, from order to acceptance.
  • Organize and present project reviews and contractual milestones (kick-off, design reviews, testing, acceptance). Manage amendments, claims, and scope changes in connection with the contractual and legal teams.
  • Guarantee the compliance of deliverables with the contractual and regulatory requirements of the nuclear sector.

Delivery and project closure

  • Organize acceptance tests, final documentation, and transfer to the customer (factory tests, shipping, commissioning). Manage the administrative, financial, and documentary closure of the project.
  • Capitalize on lessons learned (REX) for the continuous improvement of future business.

Profile description:

You have a generalist engineering degree or a Master's in industrial project management or equivalent; a project management certification (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2) is appreciated.

You have at least 8 years of experience in managing industrial projects, ideally acquired in an environment with high contractual and regulatory requirements (nuclear, energy, heavy equipment, EPC).

Additional expected skills:

  • Mastery of project management methodologies (V-cycle, Gantt/PERT planning, risk management). Good knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes (design, procurement, production, quality control). Mastery of project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, ERP/GPAO, Power BI). Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the nuclear sector (RCC-M, ESPN) is appreciated.
  • Understanding of contractual issues, commercial risk management, and budget monitoring.
  • Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.

What will make the difference

Above all, we are looking for a reliable, structured, proactive person capable of maintaining a clear vision in complex environments. Atypical, neuroatypical, or non-linear profiles are welcome. Certain different ways of thinking precisely bring excellent capacity for analysis, anticipation, and structuring. At MindTailor, we know how to recognize that value.
