Finance Director - HS2

You will be working in the Finance OU with the HS2 team in where we are responsible for protecting and growing a successful Skanska UK with predictable, profitable and sustainable performance. We partner with the business to deliver excellent financial services, efficient processes and robust governance - ensuring every decision supports our shared future.

We are currently looking for a Finance Director - HS2 who will lead the Operating Unit finance function, delivering financial insight, strong governance, effective planning and reporting, and strategic business support, while developing the team and contributing to wider business leadership

As the Finance Director - HS2, you will:

• Lead the finance team to provide high-quality support and timely, accurate financial insight on project and business performance.
• Lead and encourage the team to maintain full engagement in meeting operating unit business objectives whilst adhering to professional reporting lines.
• Direct the strategic financial decision-making, including regular assessment of business risk and opportunities. Proactively analyse, interpret, and communicate financial insight to drive performance.
• Act as a primary point of contact for the Chief Financial Officer on all financial matters relating to the Operating Unit.
• As a member of Skanska UK's Finance leadership team (FLT) contribute to the overall development of the Finance function and its people

We are looking for:

• Substantial post qualification experience in a senior financial role.
• Management experience with the ability to lead, motivate and prioritise.
• Previous experience working in a matrix management organisation.
• Previous construction or similar industry environment.
• Previous experience working in a JV environment or major Infrastructure project.
• Experience of Collaboration with other teams and function.
• Excellent relationship building skills with cross functional relationships.
