Resident Architect
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Resident Architect to oversee full-time site supervision, ensuring seamless architectural execution, quality control, and technical compliance across key development milestones. Key Duties & Responsibilities Site Supervision: Monitor all ongoing architectural works on-site to guarantee full adherence to approved contract drawings, specifications, design intent, and high quality standards. Technical Review: Evaluate and approve contractor shop drawings, material submissions, physical samples, mock-ups, and architectural details prior to execution. Site Coordination: Act as the primary technical contact on-site—collaborating closely with Main contractors, engineering consultants, and trade disciplines to resolve design interfaces, RFIs, and site conflicts efficiently. Quality & Progress Control: Conduct detailed inspections to identify defects or non-compliance, track required rectifications, and ensure the project remains on schedule. Contract & Administrative Support: Maintain complete site records, inspection logs, and correspondence. Provide support for contract variations, claims, authority submissions, and official project handover. General Duties: Perform additional project-related tasks as assigned by senior management. Job Specifications & Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related discipline. Overall Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant architectural experience. Site Experience: At least 5 years of site supervision experience managing local projects of comparable scale and technical complexity. Deployment Period: Full-time site commitment required from at least 6 months prior to Building Service Centre (BSC) operations until the Certificate of Statutory Completion / Completion of Whole Works (CWW) is issued. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Land Transport Authority (LTA) regulations, specifications, site safety/construction procedures, and submission standards. Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to interface effectively with consultants, main contractors, and LTA project managers. Bonus Advantage: Prior hands-on experience in LTA or railway infrastructure projects.
