M&E Engineer

We are seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to coordinate mechanical and electrical works for our construction projects in Singapore, including port and marine infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and supervise M&E installation works in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications and the construction schedule.
  • Review M&E drawings and technical specifications, identify discrepancies and coordinate interfaces with civil and structural works.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical submissions, material submissions, method statements, requests for information and inspection requests.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to resolve technical issues and coordinate equipment deliveries and installation activities.
  • Monitor work progress and installation quality, arrange site inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Coordinate testing and commissioning activities with specialist contractors, and follow up on defects and outstanding works.
  • Maintain project documentation, including progress reports, inspection and test records, as-built drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals for handover.
  • Coordinate with the site and safety teams to ensure that M&E works follow approved work procedures and applicable safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in M&E coordination, installation or construction project execution.
  • Experience with Singapore construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience in port, terminal, jetty or other marine infrastructure construction projects would be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of M&E drawings, technical submissions, installation requirements, site inspections, and testing and commissioning procedures.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin would be an advantage, as the role involves technical coordination with Mandarin-speaking project team members and subcontractors.
  • Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Willing to work on construction sites.
