Engineering Assistant (Inspection & Data Management)

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Located on Jurong Island, the petrochemical hub of Singapore, SRC operates a refinery that is capable of processing 290,000 barrels of crude oil per day to produce fuel products and chemical feedstocks that are supplied to domestic markets and overseas export markets under the brand labels of its shareholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Selected candidate will be engaged under a third-party agency payroll for the tenure of employment in SRC. 2-year contract (with possibility for contract renewal).

• Assist in the Damage Mechanism Identification (DMI) and Damage Mechanism Review (DMR) processes, including data collection, preparation of corrosion and material diagrams, and population of DMI worksheets and related records, such as Integrity Operating Windows (IOW) and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) data.
• Analyse and validate RBI data to support the implementation and maintenance of the API 581 RBI process.
• Set up and maintain assets for the thickness-monitoring programme in the Integrated Database Management System (IDMS).
• Maintain and update inspection, corrosion-monitoring and asset information in IDMS, the Asset Management System and Microsoft Excel, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, integrity and ease of retrieval.
• Manage inspection and technical documentation, including compiling, uploading and attaching inspection reports, statutory reports and other supporting documents from various sources.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to support asset management reporting, data analysis and decision-making.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to gather, verify and consolidate inspection, asset and technical information.
• Handle correspondence and provide administrative support for technical activities, including filing, copying, scanning and retrieving documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in an engineering, technical, information technology or related discipline.

OTHER INFORMATION

• 2 years of relevant experience in a refinery, related process industry, technical data-management or engineering-support environment is preferred. Candidate without experience are welcome to apply.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard and report development; relevant advanced-user certification is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of technical report generation, document management and data-quality practices.
• Experience with IDMS or asset performance management systems, such as Meridium APM, is advantageous.
• Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
• Experience handling large datasets and supporting inspection, corrosion, mechanical integrity or asset management activities is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
