IT Executive

JOB PURPOSE

To provide day-to-day IT support, managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, , including computers, network devices, telephone systems and cloud-based services.

Principal Accountabilities

End-User IT Support & Maintenance:

1. Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
3. Set up and maintain IT equipment for both in-office and remote users.
4. Maintain IT documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures.

Inventory Management:

1. Maintain and update the asset inventory, ensuring all software and hardware components are tracked.
2. Conduct regular audits to ensure IT assets are accounted for and up to date.
3. Manage IT equipment lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning.

Network Management

1. Manage and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
2. Monitor uptime of devices in the organisation, including but not limited to firewall, WiFi access points, printers, and IOT devices
3. Conduct regular reviews of firewall and network logs to detect and mitigate security threats.

IT Systems Administration

1. Manage Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365 platforms for user account management.
2. Utilise Datto, Kaseya 365 to monitor for threats, Windows updates, and offer remote assistance
3. Document IT configurations, network diagrams, and system procedures to ensure knowledge continuity.

Job Specification

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
2. Candidates with CompTIA certification(s), such as CompTIA A+, is a plus
3. At least 2-4 years of experience in IT support and infrastructure management.
4. Experience with Google Workspace is preferred.
5. Experience managing firewalls and network infrastructure is preferred 6. Experience in IT project management is an advantage.
