Anaesthesia Technician

The Anaesthesia Technician will be part of the team in the Department of Anaesthesiology. The duties and responsibilities includes the following (but not limited to): Assist in the acquisition, maintenance and application of equipment and supplies required for the administration of anaesthesia. In this role, he/she will work in a team and contribute to safe, efficient and cost-effective anaesthesia care. Acquire technical knowledge of newly commissioned anaesthetic equipment. Transport and setup anaesthesia equipment at remote locations. Provide technical support during the conduct of anaesthesia. Calibrate, troubleshoot and do minor repairs of faulty anaesthesia equipment to render them safe and operational. Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on anaesthesia equipment. Collaborate with Biomedical Engineers to service and maintain anaesthesia equipment in optimal condition. Support on operation of the hyperbaric chamber and performing all the safety checks that are required. 

Requirement: Diploma in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or relevant Industrial Technician Certificate.

Relevant working experience in a hospital setting will be advantageous
