The Singapore Environment Council (SEC) is an independent, non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability and responsible business practices. Through certification programmes, sustainability initiatives and stakeholder engagement, SEC works with organisations across industries to drive positive environmental impact.

We are looking for a relationship-focused Senior/Executive, Client Engagement & Partnerships to look after and grow SEC's portfolio of clients and partners. About the Role

You will manage a portfolio of clients and partners using SEC's certification, sustainability and advisory services. You will be their main point of contact, help them get the most from our programmes, grow each relationship over time, and steward the agreements that underpin our partnerships. This is an individual contributor role with revenue and renewal goals, offering the chance to build deep expertise in sustainability certification programmes and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and partners on certification and sustainability matters.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, partners and stakeholders.
  • Understand client needs and recommend suitable SEC programmes and services.
  • Achieve individual revenue goals through renewals, upselling and new business from referrals and outreach.
  • Conduct presentations and discussions with organisations interested in SEC's programmes and services.

Partnership Stewardship & Documentation

  • Draft, format and coordinate business agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and partnership proposals.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external parties to facilitate document review and finalisation.
  • Track agreement milestones, renewal dates and commitments to keep partnerships on course.
  • Maintain organised records of agreements and client correspondence.

Events & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent SEC at industry events, exhibitions, networking sessions and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Support the planning and execution of major SEC events and programmes.

Business Operations Support

  • Prepare reports, presentations, meeting materials and management updates on client and partner activity.
  • Coordinate meetings and follow-up actions with the Deputy Director, Client Engagement.
  • Support departmental projects and initiatives as required.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in client engagement, account management, client servicing, partnerships or business development.
  • Experience in sustainability, certification, compliance, environmental services, professional services or consulting environments will be an advantage.
  • Candidates with strong client-facing experience or sustainability-related work are encouraged to apply.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; builds trust easily.
  • Comfortable presenting to clients, partners and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail, especially with agreements and records.
  • Works independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional and ethical in handling confidential information.
  • Willing to learn and progressively develop expertise in sustainability certifications and standards.

Additional Information

Occasional regional travel may be required for client engagement, stakeholder engagement and certification-related activities.
