About the company

Singapore's sustainable future will not be built by awareness alone. It depends on many people changing what they do at home, at work and in their communities. At the Singapore Environment Council, our Outreach team is working to make that shift happen: turning awareness into everyday action that adds up to real environmental impact at scale.

Your tasks

You would join the team making it happen. As Outreach Associate, you will coordinate the programmes that bring sustainability into homes and communities, support the volunteers who make them possible, and meet the public face to face. This is a full-time, permanent role for fresh graduates and early career professionals who care about the environment, enjoy working with people and want to see their work make a difference. We value curiosity above all: the drive to ask why, find a better way and keep growing.

  1. Programme Coordination: Green Homes @NWCDC

Household audits help residents adopt energy and water efficient habits at home. You will keep the programme running smoothly.

  • Assign and track household audit cases.
  • Liaise with residents, auditors and volunteers on programme matters.
  • Support the verification and documentation of submitted audit reports.
  • Maintain programme records, trackers and monthly results.
  • Handle residents' enquiries, appeals and follow-up actions, escalating cases where necessary.
  1. Volunteer Management: SEC Earth Helpers

Earth Helpers gives people a practical way to act, not just to agree.

  • Support the planning and coordination of volunteer engagement activities.
  • Manage volunteer registrations, communications and event arrangements.
  • Maintain the Earth Helpers volunteer database and participation records.
  • Liaise with volunteers and stakeholders on activity matters.
  1. Outreach & Community Engagement

This is where awareness meets the public, and where you will see reactions first hand.

  • Help prepare and deliver learning journeys, community booths and awareness programmes.
  • Handle event logistics, materials, registration and on-site coordination.
  • Engage members of the public and facilitate simple interactive activities.
  • Complete post event documentation and reporting.
  1. Programme & Administrative Support
  • Maintain accurate programme documentation and records.
  • Prepare presentation materials, reports and administrative documents.
  • Support other Outreach team initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in any discipline. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, and a good team player who can also work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and comfortable engaging members of the public on site.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Curious by nature. You ask why, look for better ways of doing things and learn quickly from what you see on the ground.
  • Willing to grow and adapt. Programmes, partners and priorities change, and you stay flexible and positive when they do.
  • Able to make sound decisions within your remit and to know when to escalate. You take responsibility, follow through and are proactive.
  • Interest in environmental sustainability, community engagement or volunteerism.

What we offer

  • A permanent role with ownership of real programs and results you can see in the community.
  • Hands-on experience in programme coordination, event management and volunteer engagement.
  • Daily work with residents, volunteers, community partners and diverse stakeholders.
  • A supportive team that gives you room to try ideas, make decisions and grow into more responsibility.
