Intake Officer (Locum) (Yishun Family Service)

We are seeking a Locum Intake Officer to provide temporary coverage at Yishun Family Service @ Children’s Society. The Intake Officer is the first point of contact for clients, responsible for screening, assessing needs, and ensuring timely support or referral. Key Responsibilities Attend to walk-in, call-in, and referred clients Conduct intake interviews to assess needs, risks, and suitability for services Prioritise and respond to urgent or high-risk cases, including consultation with supervisors Maintain accurate and timely documentation in SSNet Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies for referrals and case follow-up Conduct follow-ups with clientswithin required timelines Requirements Diploma/Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field Relevant experience in social service or frontline roles preferred Strong assessment, communication, and organisational skills Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Additional Information Locum / temporary position Suitable for candidates who are adaptable and seeking flexible work opportunities
