You will sometimes undertake the definition, analysis, and verification of EMC requirements at the system and equipment level for aircraft and ground systems. In addition, you will be responsible for conducting EMC analyses. The following tasks await you:

• Definition, analysis, and verification of EMC requirements at the system and equipment level for aircraft and ground systems
• Conducting EMC analyses, including the effectiveness of shielding, grounding concepts, cable routing, and EMI/EMC coupling mechanisms
• Providing technical expertise and consulting to design teams on best practices for EMC and design according to EMC principles
• Discussing detailed test requirements and validating the associated test plans
• Active participation in EMC qualification tests such as conducted/radiated emissions and conducted/radiated susceptibility in accredited facilities, including test setup, execution, and data analysis for equipment
• Monitoring EMC-related activities of equipment suppliers, including the evaluation of reports from suppliers and test laboratories

What we are looking for:

• A completed degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in the fields of aerospace, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), EMC fundamentals, theories, and standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, DO160) as well as handling EMC test equipment and facilities
• Strong teamwork, communication, and analytical skills as well as a high degree of problem-solving competence, sense of responsibility, and commitment to quality
• Business fluent English skills
• Tools: FEKO, CST Studio Suite, ANSYS HFSS
