Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for enterprise network incidents, requests, and changes to ensure network stability and availability.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments to optimize network performance.
- Manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching infrastructure (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, VxLAN preferred) across multiple sites.
- Support and administer firewall platforms including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco Firepower to secure network perimeter.
- Manage wireless networks using Cisco, Aruba, or Meraki solutions to maintain reliable connectivity.
- Monitor network performance continuously and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and configuration backups to maintain system integrity.
- Participate in network implementation, migration, and optimization projects to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation and operational procedures for consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently.
Required competencies and certifications
- Strong hands-on experience with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
- Proficient in switching technologies including VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, with VxLAN preferred.
- Skilled in firewall management on platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco Firepower.
- Experienced in wireless network management using Cisco, Aruba, or Meraki solutions.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and QoS protocols.
- Proficient in using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledgeable in network security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction and teamwork.
