• Attend to other financial transactions, such as plane tickets and travel insurance .
• Calculate cost of travel and accommodations.
• Handle reimbursement in case of transportation and hotel reservations cancellation.
• Recommend suitable products.
• Supervise clerical staff or other travel counsellors.
• Investigate new travel areas, hotels and other amenities.
• Manage difficult situations with customers.
• Perform general office duties.
• Sell travel products and travel insurance.
• Use principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, which include marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
• Provide customers with travel information and other details such as regulations, duty free allowances, health risks and requirements, attractions and special events.
• Attend to cancellations and schedule changes.

• Make transportation and accommodation reservations using computerized reservation and ticketing system.
• Provide travel information to clients regarding destinations, transportation, accommodation options and travel costs.
