Your tasks

The R&D Chemist will apply technical expertise to develop new or improved products that meet market needs and support sales with high-quality, timely product introductions. The role also provides technical support to Quality Control, Production, and Sales teams for existing products.

• Deliver monthly progress reports on product development projects to ensure timely updates and alignment with business goals
• Maintain and update Bill of Material (BOM) records accurately within the ERP system to reflect product changes
• Coordinate with intercompany R&D and technical teams to develop and improve intercompany products
• Assess alternative raw materials for product formulations to optimize quality and cost-effectiveness
• Evaluate product performance through laboratory testing based on interdepartmental requests and generate detailed test reports
• Investigate product performance issues using feedback from the technical service team to identify root causes and recommend solutions
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 audit processes by providing required documentation and technical input
• Provide technical assistance to customers and sales personnel to enhance product understanding and support sales efforts
• Collaborate with the technical service team to investigate and resolve site complaints by conducting root cause analysis
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
• Perform other ad-hoc product development tasks as assigned by the R&D Manager to support team objectives
