• 5+ years in distributed systems (dev/ops/platform), including 2+ years in architecture or tech lead.
• Experience in critical/industrial environments (space, defense, avionics, energy...) appreciated.
• Knowledge of ECSS best practices (system/software engineering) and cybersecurity.
• Professional English.

Mission

To support the growth of our activities with a major player in the space sector, we are strengthening our Ground Segment pole. As a Software & Computing Architect, you will design and evolve the software architectures and computing infrastructure (servers, virtualization, containerization) that support the ground segment subsystems (MCS, PDGS, FDS, planning, supervision). You will be the technical referent, working directly with the Program Manager and the Dev/Infra/Security teams.

Missions & responsibilities:

1) Software architecture of Ground Segment subsystems

• Define logical and application architecture: microservices, batch/streaming services, interfacing (API REST/gRPC, messaging).
• Design ICDs (interface contracts), data models, and integration patterns (ETL/ELT, event-driven).
• Guarantee scalability, resilience, observability, and security from the design stage (DevSecOps by design).

2) Computing architecture & hosting platforms

• Define deployment topologies: on-prem / private cloud / hybrid (K8s cluster, virtualization, networks).
• Size and select computing platforms (CPU/GPU/IO), storage (NAS/SAN/object), and connectivity (LAN/WAN, DMZ).
• Design high availability / recovery (RTO/RPO, clustering, backup/DRP) and network segmentation (zones, RBAC).

3) Industrialization & DevSecOps

• Drive Infrastructure as Code and end-to-end automation (provisioning, deployments, tests).
• Co-build CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins), packaging, Helm charts/Manifests, Ansible/Terraform.
• Implement observability (logs, metrics, traces, alerting) and operational SLO/SLI.

4) Technical responses & Innovation

• Write technical specifications and ground segment architecture plans.
• Conduct technical spikes (perf/sec/costs), benchmarks, and tooling choices (COTS/Open Source).

5) Project launch and support

• Secure project starts (foundations, environments, DoR/DoD criteria).
• Act as a referent/expert for Dev/Infra/Sec teams, coach, and build knowledge capital (runbooks, ADR, docs).
