Senior Strategist
Are you a strategist who can go from a client's business problem to a brand idea to a creative brief without missing a beat? Read on.
Our Montréal strategy team is looking for a Senior Strategist with strong roots in creative work and the range to move between brand, communication and business challenges. One week you're writing a campaign brief. The next you're building a brand platform or helping a client rethink how they go to market.
You're both a leader and a doer. We care more about your thinking and your work than your current title.
What you'll do Strategy work across a mix of projects: creative campaigns, brand development, digital experiences and business or go-to-market challenges.
Find the insight that unlocks the work, through research, client immersion, cultural observation and a good dose of curiosity.
Write creative briefs that inspire, and stay close to the creative team through concepting and production to keep the idea sharp and on strategy.
Build brand platforms: positioning, purpose, personality, messaging and storytelling.
Help clients connect brand ambition to business goals, whether that means a launch plan, a new offering or a customer experience strategy.
Present to clients and win them over. Tell the story behind the work in a way that makes the room lean in.
Look past the initial scope to spot new growth and innovation opportunities for every client.
What you bring 6+ years in strategy (creative, brand or communications) at an agency, with work you can walk us through where your thinking visibly shaped the outcome.
Real fluency in the creative process. You know how to work with creative directors, designers, copywriters and filmmakers, and you earn their trust.
Solid brand strategy experience, from positioning and brand platforms to identity projects.
Enough business sense to hold your own with a CMO or CEO, and an understanding of how brand and creative decisions drive commercial results.
A proper pencil-chewer's pen. You write clearly and persuasively, and you can say a lot in very few words.
The ability to go from big-picture brand dreams to concrete business objectives, and back, in the same meeting.
Comfort structuring a strategy on your own, from blank page to final deck.
The ability to read a room, understand what clients really need, and help sell the work.
Energy in an environment that changes constantly. No two projects look the same here.
Fluent written and spoken English and French.
