Job Description
As a junior researcher, you will contribute to the development and application of our traffic and transport models, and participate in policy studies for our Dutch and international clients. We are looking for a young researcher with a passion for quantitative issues who can develop into an advisor for our clients.
Your research activities include, among other things, analyzing large datasets, writing scripts, implementing models in program code, and performing and interpreting model estimations. In addition to research, you will also provide advice on model applications for the purpose of policy studies. You will work in a small multidisciplinary team of professionals from various research fields: from physics to econometrics, and from civil engineering to economics. Independence, result-orientation, and commitment are important core values in our team.
Job Requirements
- Completed MSc degree with a quantitative analytical character: econometrics or technical university
- Interest in, and strength in, quantitative analyses
- Starter or a few years of relevant work experience
- Experience with programming
- Preferably experience in technical software for data analysis and visualization such as Python, QGIS.
- Experience with transport engineering software such as Visum, OpenPath, Omnitrans is a plus
- Good writing skills in English language
- Good writing skills in the Dutch language is a plus
- Affinity with transport and mobility
