Then become part of our global team as Team Architect (f/m/d) for the Open MRI Reconstruction Framework to shape the technological vision and architecture of a modern platform for MRI reconstruction and to sustainably drive its further development.

Choose the best place for your work - within the framework of this position, it is possible, in coordination with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working time. Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible under certain conditions and in selected countries for up to 30 days per year.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You are responsible for the technical vision, the architecture roadmap of your team, and the continuous further development of the MR reconstruction framework within our open digital application ecosystem. - Together with your agile team, you define the software architecture and technology standards, drive central architecture decisions, and ensure coordination with adjacent teams. - You work closely with Product Management, research partners, and architects of adjacent platforms to translate business and research requirements into scalable, maintainable, and future-proof technical solutions. - You promote technical excellence in the team by establishing architecture principles, coaching employees, addressing technical risks early, and driving modern software engineering methods. - You empower the research community to develop new MR reconstruction solutions through the conception and implementation of technical training and knowledge exchange formats.

Your qualifications and experience:

• You have a completed Master's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Medical Technology, Physics, or a related technical field. - You bring many years of practical experience in the design of software architectures and scalable software frameworks for digital services, including API design, containerization, and user-friendly platforms. - You have successfully developed complex software systems based on C++ and Python multiple times, combining architectural responsibility with practical software development. - You have the ability to take on technical leadership, provide professional guidance to employees, and drive architectural decisions in cross-functional environments. - Experience with MRI imaging technologies, digital image processing, and the development of software for regulated medical devices is an advantage. - You are enthusiastic about modern software engineering practices and technologies such as DevOps, AI-supported development, containerization, and scalable platform design.

• You have very good English skills for daily collaboration in the team as well as international exchange, for example, with colleagues in India.
