Senior Staff UX Designer for User-Centered Design Excellence (m/f/d)

Then become part of our global team as a Senior Staff UX Designer for User-Centered Design Excellence (m/f/d) to take on a central role in the further development of the User Experience. You will strengthen a global design organization, improve quality standards in User Experience design, and drive consistency and innovation across the entire product and service portfolio of Siemens Healthineers. In this role, you will influence a variety of projects, lead designers, coordinate their work, and coach them.

Choose the best place for your work - as part of this position, it is possible, in coordination with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working time. Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible under certain conditions and in selected countries for up to 30 days per year.

Additionally, this position can be filled full-time or part-time with at least 30h/week.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You will take on strategic UX leadership across products, projects, and company-wide initiatives, thereby shaping the user experience and outstanding interaction design on a large scale.- You will independently lead and improve UX quality by coaching designers and cross-functional teams, thereby enabling impactful and user-centered design decisions throughout the entire development process.- You will create compelling UX visions, concepts, and narratives, and inspire stakeholders and design teams through practice-oriented design leadership and exemplary work.- You will lead a vibrant global design community by creating forums for collaboration, knowledge exchange, mutual learning, and continuous inspiration.- You will manage design teams in solving complex design challenges by designing outstanding solutions, providing constructive feedback, offering expert guidance, and acting as a thought leader in a variety of initiatives.- You will advocate for user-centered design at all organizational levels, ensuring consistent alignment and driving exceptional user experiences across the entire Siemens Healthineers portfolio.- You will continuously drive design excellence by identifying emerging trends, developing best practices, and strengthening our design capabilities worldwide.

Your qualifications and experience:

• You have a completed degree in the field of interaction design, User Experience design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.- You bring many years of professional experience in the areas of User Experience, interaction design, or a related field and possess a compelling portfolio that demonstrates outstanding design achievements and measurable business successes.- Furthermore, you can demonstrate a proven track record and have led complex design initiatives or projects for several years in agencies and/or in-house environments – from strategy to implementation and delivery.- You have experience in leading parallel design projects and stakeholders within complex organizations.- Ideally, you bring experience in healthcare, medical technology, regulated industries, or other highly complex product environments.

• You communicate fluently in English and can effectively engage global teams as well as key stakeholders at the executive level, driving them to pursue common goals.- You are passionately committed to the coaching, mentoring, and further development of designers of all experience levels and promote a cooperative and high-performing design culture.- You are a proactive, adaptable, and inspiring leader who feels comfortable in complex environments, leading even without direct authority and conveying positive energy and curiosity to the team.- You possess sound expertise in the areas of interaction design, user-centered design methodologies, Design Thinking, and large-scale design systems.- You have a deep understanding of end-to-end product development and excel in agile, cross-functional environments.- You combine strategic thinking with practical design competence, creating a balance between long-term vision, innovation, and attention to detail.- You have a good sense of humor.
