Job Description:

By 2050, nearly 70% of the world's population will live in cities. To meet the challenges of sustainable urban mobility, Siemens Mobility designs the trains and signaling systems that shape the mobility of tomorrow: connected, decarbonized, and fluid.

From Line 14 in Paris to the lines in Riyadh or New York, our technologies are already making transport smarter, safer, and more accessible.

Every day, we reduce the carbon footprint of millions of journeys, a success driven by the diversity of profiles present in our company.

And this is only the beginning.

Join us and put your talent to the service of tomorrow's mobility and a more responsible future.

Join our Studies unit and contribute to the design of low current systems at the heart of our automated metro projects. As a Railway Low Current Design Engineer, you are a key player in the reliability and performance of our infrastructures, from design to commissioning. A demanding technical role, at the crossroads of innovation and the field, with a stimulating international dimension.

Your missions, if you accept them:

Design and technical studies: Perform design and sizing studies for low current systems (communications, fiber optics, distributors) and low voltage.

  • Develop technical specifications, architecture diagrams, execution plans, layout plans, and wiring plans, both for lines and technical rooms.
  • Write equipment installation methods.
  • Verify and validate study deliverables produced by other members of the unit.
  • Ensure a technical interface with network, radio, design, and system teams, as well as with providers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Provide technical support during the realization, testing, and commissioning phases.
  • Guarantee the convergence and consistency of deliverables following the installations carried out on site.

Low voltage expertise: Master the principles and standards related to low voltage installations.

  • Optimize wiring architectures and associated equipment.
  • Guarantee the compliance of installations with current regulations and safety standards.

Professional development: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Studies unit's methods and tools.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (support, sharing expertise, framing reference documents, training). Ensure transverse management of study resources.

The profile that will make the difference:

A graduate of an engineering school (Master's degree) in electronics, telecommunications, automation, electrical engineering, or equivalent, you have at least 5 years of experience in an electrical design office, in the field of low current systems and/or railway signaling, ideally in the transport sector (railway, metro, tramway).

In-depth knowledge of low current systems (data networks, fiber optics, security systems, radio equipment, cabling) is indispensable, as well as solid foundations in low voltage electrical installations and security architectures. Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent) and Caneco BT is required. Knowledge of NF C 15-100 and 13-100/200 standards, as well as railway sector regulations, is expected. Knowledge of CBTC or VAL railway signaling principles, as well as site experience, are real assets. The ability to analyze the technical and financial offers of electrical equipment suppliers ideally completes your profile.

Rigor, organizational skills, and autonomy are your daily strengths. Technical curiosity and proactivity allow you to anticipate challenges and propose suitable solutions. Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team spirit allow you to move easily in multidisciplinary environments, facing both clients and technical controllers. Proficiency in technical English (reading, writing, speaking) is necessary to operate in an international context. Occasional travel to sites, in France and internationally, is to be expected.

Benefit from advantages that make a difference:

A career without borders: Develop your potential within an international group present in more than 200 countries. Take advantage of international mobility opportunities and a stimulating multicultural environment.

Development and sustainable commitment: We invest in your professional evolution through personalized continuous training, while working together for a more responsible future.

Work/life balance: Benefit from a flexible organization with partial teleworking, adaptable hours, and numerous RTT, for better qual
