Lead Technician Cloud

We are looking for a new Lead Technician based at our site in Cloud, Oeverturingen!

A snapshot of your day As our Lead Technician, you are responsible for the daily management and supervision of the service technicians to ensure efficient planning and execution of service, operation, and warranty for turbines in your service area. Build a long-term perspective with the team to ensure that Siemens Gamesa delivers high performance and value to the customer.

How you will impact

Execute tasks delegated by the responsible Operations Manager. Coordination, planning, and execution of service, operation, and support for the assigned site or traveling technician teams. Including resource planning, leave, and work schedules in collaboration with central planning. Ensure that safety is #1, all technicians have adequate training, safety equipment, work instructions, and risk assessments before starting any work. Continuous follow-up and improvement of incidents to implement improvements. Ensure that site personnel and subcontractors are informed and follow the agreed overall EHS routines and the site-specific EHS plan in the organization. Leverage local and regional technical support to resolve issues on-site. Take corrective actions, address deficiencies, and make improvements to drive service teams. Responsible for continuous development and improvement of productivity and KPIs as well as other site/contract goals supported by the Ops Manager. Provide monthly reporting to customers and manage the site's monthly meetings with the customer with support from the Ops Manager. Build long-term relationships with the customer as a site contact and towards suppliers to create lasting relationships. Manage work under varying conditions to adapt the planning of work and resources to meet contract obligations, optimize WF production, and team productivity. Manage the team to complete and maintain necessary and correct documentation and records. Site administration includes reporting, managing orders, keeping records, etc.

What you bring A passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading the change.

The ideal candidate has a technical/vocational degree and it is desirable that you have an electrical and/or mechanical background and experience. You have several years of experience in a leadership role/team lead role.

In this role, you should also

Demonstrate very effective planning and organizational skills. Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and preferably have experience with wind turbines. Be able to work independently and in a team environment. Have fluent English skills - both oral and written. Swedish is a major advantage. You have a driver's license (B). You must be in good physical condition and not afraid of heights; a medical examination is required, including the Swedish “mast och stolpintyg”.
