Sia is looking for an intern to join as a Data Scientist / AI Engineer in digital transformation projects in Italy or abroad, within the global Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Business Line. At Sia, the AI&DS team not only develops and applies its expertise in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, but also works to understand phenomena related to our clients' business to guide them toward complex digital transformation projects such as journey to cloud, advanced computing systems, and complex architectures. During the internship, the selected person will have the opportunity to: Support the development of AI solutions within projects for reference clients Deepen knowledge of the main technologies supporting digital transformation projects Support the team in understanding the risks/opportunities of transformation projects, contributing to the identification of the most suitable tools for designing target architectures Apply technical knowledge to real cases, contributing to the generation of business insights useful for decision-making In addition to project work, the resource will be given the opportunity to contribute to internal research and development activities, and to the ideation of new solutions and use cases.
Hard skills: Master's Degree in STEM disciplines Interest in data science and AI roles and functions; any previous experience (thesis, university projects, hackathons) is a plus Basic knowledge of Python and interest in ML and GenAI algorithms Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) or structured/unstructured databases is preferred Soft skills: Good communication skills Good interpersonal skills that allow the resource to work in teams and collaborate with colleagues from international offices Adaptability and flexibility Curiosity and willingness to learn Language skills: Professional knowledge of the English language Knowledge of French and/or any other foreign language is considered a plus
