Corporate Tax Manager
Location: Manchester or Leeds Salary: £55,000–£75,000 (flexibility DOE) Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing professional services team, working closely with Tax Directors and Partners to deliver high-quality corporate tax services to a varied client portfolio.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing the corporate tax compliance function across Manchester and Leeds, working with a range of complex clients including larger groups, higher-risk businesses and key strategic relationships.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Overseeing tax accounting and ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients on corporate tax matters, queries and enquiries.
- Identifying and delivering corporate tax advisory opportunities.
- Supporting clients with technical tax advice and keeping them informed of relevant developments.
- Managing, mentoring and developing junior members of the corporate tax team.
- Working collaboratively with wider tax and advisory teams to provide a joined-up service to clients.
- Identifying opportunities to introduce additional services where appropriate.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced corporate tax professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with a commercial and client-focused approach.
You will ideally have:
- CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification.
- At least 1 year’s post-qualification experience within a UK practice environment in Corporate Tax.
- Strong corporate tax compliance and advisory experience.
- Experience working with complex clients, groups or higher-risk businesses.
- Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to apply this creatively to client situations.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The confidence to deal directly with clients at all levels.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- A commercial mindset and enthusiasm for developing both client relationships and new opportunities.
- Experience mentoring or developing junior team members would be advantageous.
