Technical Designer – Apparel Location: Brooklyn, NY Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Friday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Work arrangement: In person We are a Brooklyn children's apparel company seeking a Technical Designer to support design, sampling, and production across multiple collections. The primary focus of this role is creating and updating accurate, complete tech packs. Most of the workday will be dedicated to this detailed, computer-focused work. What you'll do Create and update tech packs as your main responsibility, following our established formats and factory requirements. (Does not include patterns/grading) Work with the designer and factories to clarify garment details, communicate revisions, and track sample corrections. Prepare and refine technical flats, prints, patterns, and artwork for production. Organize flat-lay images and product files. Create clear, visually appealing line sheets for our collections. Help organize samples and prepare the showroom, especially during sales periods. Assist with in-house and on-location photo shoots, including shoot-day organization and greeting models. Required qualifications: Experience creating apparel tech packs. Strong Adobe Illustrator skills. Ability to prepare and refine production-ready prints, patterns, and artwork. Familiarity with AI tools and interest in applying them thoughtfully to design or workflow. Clear communication, organization, accuracy, and follow-through. Comfort managing deadlines and spending much of the workday at a computer. Comfort helping with sample-room and photo-shoot support as part of the role. Availability to work in person in Brooklyn on the schedule listed above.
