Job Title: Workshop Technician
Location: Milton Keynes Start: ASAP Type: 24 months Potential to go permanent Work until 2030 Hours: 37 hours Overtime Available Rate: £15 per hour
Position Summary:
To assemble, test and despatch products against customer orders for a supplier of Entry systems for the Rail Industry.
Duties include:
- Checking products at pre-installation stage
- Refurbishing mechanical products and entry systems
- Testing products and systems
- To assemble and test products to workshop instructions. (Mechanical)
- Completing and filing works orders and test sheets
- Checking in of deliveries and signing off packing lists
- Packing, labelling and despatching of products/orders using core IT systems
- Assisting with the sorting and recycling of metal waste.
- Adhering to and assisting with the maintenance of ISO 9001 quality management system.
- Assist with stocktaking.
- To assist Engineering project team as and when required.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Experience in a workshop / warehouse environment
- Some assembly and production experience
- Good work ethic
