Conveyor Installation

Location: Pontarddulais, Swansea Duration: 1 Week Start Date: 19th October

Job Description

Shorterm Group are currently looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to support a conveyor installation project in Pontarddulais. This is holiday cover while one of the existing team is away. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, with previous experience working on conveyor systems, electrical control panels and AS-i (Actuator Sensor Interface) networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical installation of industrial conveyor systems.
• Working with electrical control panels, including wiring and terminations.
• Installation and connection of AS-i networks and associated components.
• Wiring and terminating motors, sensors and other automation equipment.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Working alongside mechanical and electrical installation teams to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Ensuring all work is completed to relevant electrical and site safety standards.

Essential Requirements

• Valid JIB Gold Card.
• Previous experience working within industrial automation environments.
• Good working knowledge of AS-i systems.
• Experience working with electrical control panels.
• Previous conveyor installation experience.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an installation team.
